I paid a visit to Agrodolce for brunch after being blown away by Americana in Capitol Hill and was definitely not disappointed by this follow-up brunch. First of all, they have a bottomless mimosa brunch, which seems to be a rarity in Seattle. Secondly, the food is delicious.
We shared the french toast bites, and they were a perfect dish to start off with. The cream and syrup were both tasty, and the bites themselves were a perfect texture. Overall, a great experience.
I ordered the seasonal hash, which, as you can infer from the name, changes seasonally. This time around it was steak, potatoes, and various vegetables in a fantastic pesto topped with a fried egg.
My boyfriend ordered the fried chicken and waffles, which I got to try, and it was great as well. The chicken was really juicy, and the waffle was substantial. I especially liked the sauce they put on top. It was very rich, almost like a hollandaise. Unfortunately, I did not get a photo of it, but should I return, I will almost certainly get the chicken and waffles and snap a pic then.
Another place to check out in Fremont is the Fremony Brewing Company. It has a great outdoor space with plenty of seating and a nice backyard garden feel to it (despite the patio being in the front of the building). Besides quality beers and mixed drinks featuring their beers, they offer non-alcoholic drinks as well for those under 21 and free pretzels and apples! Any establishment with free food is fine by me.
