Great gelato, fantastic whipped cream. Get the whipped cream. But don’t forget to get some gelato underneath it. But also get the whipped cream.

Great bagel. Insane cream cheese.

Everything bagel with veggie cream cheese. The line is long but it goes by pretty quickly. They have so many flavors of cream cheese here and apparently you can sample them. They also have a whole selection of tofu “cream cheese,” which looked good.

Hearty servings. Rich, creamy sides (mac and cheese pictured below but I tried their green beans, sweet potato mash, and corn pudding as well). Brisket a little on the salty side.

Strawberry cake at the office for my birthday. Cake and frosting were so light and fluffy. Not too sweet. Very good.

Awkwardly thought they had a restaurant week dinner menu when they actually only have a restaurant week lunch menu. Poor website maintenance is why we can’t have nice things. It’s okay, though, because dinner for my brother and I ended up costing about the same amount of money as it would’ve for restaurant week, and we got a lot of food. Great service here. Almost too good- they gave us our own bottle of water for the table but would always come over to refill our glasses for us as soon as they were somewhat empty. It’s like why are you gonna give me this power and then just take it away from me??

Bread with a really tasty crust. We got charged $1 per person for “bread service,” which may have been when we asked for more olive oil?? A bit stingy, considering we got what I would say was a disproportional amount of olive oil to bread in the first place.

Salumi selezione for 2. Good selection, lots of flavors, not overly salted.

Crispy artichokes. Not the biggest fan of these. The leaves were kind of like stale, non-quite crispy chips, and the heart of it was just so soaked in butter or oil and not very flavorful otherwise.

Cacio e pepe was delicious. Quality ingredients and expertly done al dente bucatini make a simple dish (basically just cheese and pepper) warm your heart.

Porchetta. Oh my pearls this was heavenly. The meat was so chewy and flavorful and the melty fat that was crisped on the outside made this dish so ridiculously good. I will probably dream about this tonight.

{Goal for this weekend}

Artichoke Basille’s. Officially passed by all three Manhattan locations without having a single slice. You will evade me no longer, artichoke pizza.
