Here are a bunch of photos of food we didn’t get to blog about because this blog didn’t exist yet.
Let’s start with some photos from Camille’s trip to Los Angeles earlier this year.
A delicious waffle from Bru’s Wiffle A Waffle Joint.
I also got pancakes twice at The OP Cafe but never snapped any photos because the food was gone too quickly both times. Their pancakes were amazing–slightly crisp on the outside but light and buttery and melted in your mouth.
Got some juicy salmon poke along Venice Beach.
Couldn’t get enough of the poke! The amount of tuna they give you is ridiculous.
Seafood pasta in Santa Monica. Colorful presentation, decent taste.
Some hearty dipping ramen (tsukemen) in Sawtelle. You get a bowl of noodles and some really rich broth into which you dip the ramen. Sounds like a lot of work, but the taste and experience are worth a try!
Got some great Dan Dan Noodles at this super hip place, Pine and Crane. Their entire menu was filled with some of my favorite Taiwanese dishes. I only wish I could have tried out all their other stuff. If you’re along Griffith Park Blvd, be sure to check out this restaurant! 10/10 would recommend.
Zha Jiang Mian with some side dishes.
Danielle also went to LA and the Bay Area for Spring Break. As expected, some In-N-Out was consumed. I actually don’t eat meat, so I ordered a cheeseburger without the patty and with grilled onions.
Bubble tea with honey boba, pudding, and grass jelly from Half & Half. Someone should write a love song about the honey boba.
Back to the Bay. The Californian Omelette (with avocado, mushrooms, green onions, tomatoes, garlic, jack and cheddar cheese, topped with sour cream) from Bill’s Cafe in Willow Glen, San Jose.
Pralines and Cream/Marbled Black Raspberry Ice Cream from Willow Glen Creamery.
A plate of sushi from Tomi Seafood Buffet. A good place to release the gluttonous pig within, but nothing to write home about.
